Benha University organized educational and awareness convoys at Benha Model Girls Institute as part of the President's initiative for human development, "A New Beginning for the Human Development."
This initiative was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, and Prof. El Sayed Fouda, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, with coordination and organization by Mrs. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The Faculty of Arts, under the supervision of Prof. Amgad Hegazy, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Prof. Sherine El-Shoury, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, organized an educational seminar titled "Cyberbullying: Its Forms and Prevention Methods." The seminar aimed to increase awareness among female students about what cyberbullying is, its various effects on individuals, and how to address and solve the problem.
It also provided advice and guidance on proper methods to confront bullying in general. The seminar featured lectures from Prof. Mai Rashwan and Prof. Eman Magdy, faculty members in the Sociology Department.
Additionally, the Faculty of Science, supervised by Prof. Mohamed Heikal, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Prof. Nehad Al-Barqi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, organized an informative and awareness seminar on the applications of geophysics as a vital scientific tool in addressing environmental and developmental challenges.
The seminar highlighted the significant capabilities of geophysics in serving the community through resource exploration and providing solutions to various environmental and geological problems.
The seminar covered the benefits and applications of geophysics, emphasizing the importance of utilizing its methods in numerous applications that directly impact society, particularly in exploring mineral resources and utilizing natural resources such as oil and groundwater.
It also discussed the impact of pollution on groundwater and the solutions that geophysics can offer for such issues, using advanced techniques that allow for the study of soil layers and determining the extent of pollution or environmental changes, as well as providing strategies for managing and preserving water resources.
This initiative involved participation from several faculty members, including Nehad Mahmoud Abdelbar, Ahmed Mohamed, and Saleh Alaa Saleh.
