Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Kalyobiya, and Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors for the new Benha University Hospital, attended by Major General Hazem Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wadi El-Nile Construction Company, university leaders, Wadi El-Nile Company officials, monuments officials, and board members.
Engineer Ayman Attia emphasized the importance of quickly advancing the implementation of the new Benha University Hospital project according to global engineering codes, noting that the project represents a significant medical leap by meeting citizens' health needs. It will contribute to providing distinguished medical services of high quality and will transform Benha into a medical capital.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy confirmed that health is one of the most important files receiving significant attention from the political leadership. He stated that at Benha University, we spare no effort in providing distinguished medical services to the citizens of Kalyobiya and neighboring governorates.
Prof. El-Gizawy pointed out that the university is keen on supporting investments in the new Benha University Hospital project, which is one of the most important national projects being established in the governorate. He called for necessary cooperation and integration among all parties to expedite the completion of the project, which includes many medical specialties. Its opening and operation will provide Kalyobiya with a comprehensive medical city.
the Governor of Kalyobiya and the President of Benha University, along with their companions, inspected the work progress at the site and listened to an explanation from Prof. Mohamed Saeed, the university's engineering consultant, and those responsible for the project regarding the implementation stages and the services that the new hospital will provide.
They also inspected the renovation works taking place in the surgery building of the university hospital to follow up on the completed construction works. During the tour, Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy affirmed the university's commitment to directing development and expansion plans in university hospitals to enhance the quality of services provided and ensure distinguished medical care for citizens, as university hospitals receive approximately 4,000 patient cases monthly across various departments and outpatient clinics.
It is worth mentioning that the new Benha University Hospital project is being constructed over an area of 9,042 square meters, consisting of two basements and seven repeated floors.
The hospital is set to include an emergency department, outpatient clinics, a laboratory section, an operating room section, a radiology department, in addition to intensive care units.
The hospital will also feature a neonatal intensive care unit, gynecology and obstetrics, a cardiac intensive care unit, a catheterization department, a women's accommodation unit, a neurology intensive care unit, an endoscopic surgery department, a cardiac accommodation unit, a pediatric accommodation unit, a pediatric intensive care unit, and 16 burn surgery accommodation units, as well as burn surgery and physical therapy.
The hospital will include a chemotherapy unit, various accommodation units, a dialysis unit, and a peritoneal dialysis unit.
