Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, attended this evening the celebration organized by the university's international students to mark the 54th Omani National Day, held by the university's International Students Office.
The event was attended by Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Magdy El-Shahat, Dean of the Faculty of Education; Prof. Hany Shehta, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education; Prof. Ahmed Youssef, Executive Director of the International Students Unit; Mrs. Sherine Shawky, Secretary General of the University; Mr. Refaat Nan, Assistant Secretary for Administrative Affairs; along with several university professors and international students from the Sultanate of Oman and other Arab countries.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy congratulated the Omani students on their national holiday, emphasizing that the university is committed to providing all forms of support and care for its international students in all fields, ensuring a distinguished educational environment, as they are ambassadors of Benha University and their country abroad.
Prof. El-Gizawy pointed out that there has been a qualitative change in academic advising and the student activities offered to international students, with a focus on integrating them with their Egyptian peers and maintaining an open-door policy for everyone.
The university president encouraged international students to actively participate in all activities and events organized by the university and offered by its various centers, as this would help develop their skills and build their personalities.
Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi expressed her happiness to participate in the celebration of Omani students on their national holiday. She addressed the Omani students, saying, "We welcome and are proud of all of you at Benha University," praising the role of the International Students Unit in organizing the Omani celebration to introduce students to the rich Omani heritage and traditions.
Additionally, the celebration featured a presentation on the historical relations between Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman, as well as an overview of the main governorates of Oman, their locations, and characteristics, along with a display of some Omani folk arts.
