Under the patronage of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, Prof. El-Sayed Fouda, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, along with Prof. Mahmoud Al-Zablawi, Dean of the College of Agriculture in Moshtohor, witnessed the harvest season of tilapia at the open fish farms of the college.
The event was attended by Prof. Ihab Farid, Vice Dean of the College of Agriculture for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. El-Sayed Khater, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Mohamed Shaaban, Head of the Animal Production Department; and Mrs. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.
Prof. El-Sayed Fouda praised the community role played by the College of Agriculture, given its diverse production units that provide certain goods and products at reasonable prices for university affiliates. He emphasized the university 's commitment to providing all types of support to the production units and farms within the university and its faculties.
Prof. Mahmoud Al-Zablawi indicated that today they harvested tilapia from one of the open fish farm ponds, with approximately one ton of fish being harvested. He added that the college is distinguished by having both closed and open fish farms, which are utilized for educational and research purposes to train students, as well as for productive use.
