Governor of Kalyobiya and President of Benha University Discussed Establishing an Academic Building for Medical Science Programs in Collaboration with Al-Nas Hospital

Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Kalyobiya, and Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, held an extensive meeting with Mr. Hatim El-Malla, Executive Director of Al-Nas Hospital, to finalize plans for implementing the cooperation protocol signed between the governorate and the university. This protocol was signed in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The Governor of Kalyobiya emphasized that Al-Nas Hospital is a global medical edifice, the largest of its kind in the Middle East and Africa, dedicated to treating children's diseases for free. It was built by Egyptian hands with the latest medical equipment and technology.
Eng. Attia welcomed the collaboration to develop the area surrounding the hospital, transforming it into green spaces to create a suitable environment for patients and staff, considering the hospital a medical fortress visited by thousands of citizens from within Egypt and abroad. He praised the significant role of Al-Nas Hospital in providing healthcare for children in Kalyobiya and the efforts made by the medical and administrative staff to deliver the best services and maintain high standards in infrastructure and medical equipment.
The governor expressed his full support for the hospital to achieve its mission of providing healthcare for all children in Egypt.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy stated that Benha University, through its programs, would provide distinguished medical staff for the hospital to deliver high-quality medical services to citizens.
He noted that this collaboration opens new horizons for university students in the medical sector to gain more academic experience and practical training.
Prof. El-Gizawy pointed out that the university, as a center of expertise within the governorate, is keen on communicating with various institutions, emphasizing that their goal is to establish an academic entity in the name of the university and the hospital to serve the medical staff of the hospital and other hospitals. This initiative aligns with the university's role in community service and its academic expertise and human resources, contributing to various developmental fields.
The cooperation protocol aims to establish an academic building to offer medical and nursing programs and grant their degrees on a piece of land owned by Kalyobiya Governorate adjacent to Al-Nas Hospital.
The protocol also stipulates enhancing mutual cooperation among the participating parties to exchange scientific expertise through meetings and workshops.
Al-Nas Hospital is one of the largest distinguished medical centers in the Arab region and Africa, with a capacity of approximately 600 beds. It has been providing free services to all patients since its inception in 2019, focusing on pediatric cardiology and developing the skills of its medical staff to meet global standards and provide the best medical services to patients while supporting research initiatives.
