For the fourth year... Benha University is among the best Arab universities according to the British Times Higher Education ranking for 2024.

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that the British Times Higher Education ranking for higher education institutions has released its fourth edition of the ranking of universities in the Arab world for 2024.
Benha University ranked in the (81-90) category among 238 universities and educational institutions across 16 Arab countries. Locally, the university ranked 11th alongside Kafr El-Sheikh University among 42 Egyptian universities classified in this edition.
Prof. El-Gizawy indicated that the British Times Higher Education ranking for Arab universities relies on the same methodology used for ranking universities worldwide, with some modifications and the inclusion of new metrics to reflect the features and missions of universities in the Arab region. It is based on eighteen indicators to measure university performance across five axes: Teaching, Research Quality, Research Environment, International Outlook, and Societal Impact.
Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, added that the university scored 76.9 in the Research Quality axis, 56.8 in the International Outlook axis, 26.6 in the Research Environment axis, 32.3 in the Teaching axis, and 71.3 in the Societal Impact and Sustainability axis.

• 10 Tunisian universities
• 9 Omani universities
• 8 Libyan universities
• 7 Palestinian universities
• 6 Lebanese universities
• 5 Kuwaiti universities
• 3 Somali universities
• 3 Bahraini universities
• 3 Syrian universities
• 2 Yemeni universities
• 1 Qatari university
• 1 Sudanese university
• 1 university from Comoros
Among them, 113 institutions were listed as "correspondents" due to incomplete criteria for ranking.
