President of Benha University Received Report on Hospital Visits in the Last Month

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, received a report from Prof. Mohamed El-Ashhab, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals, and Prof. Amr El-Dakhakhni, Executive Director of the hospitals, regarding the number of cases admitted to various treatment departments in the hospital during the month of November.
According to a statement issued by the media office of Benha University, the report indicated that the number of visitors to the emergency and reception department reached 19,946 cases, while the number of visitors to the outpatient clinics was 19,769 cases.
The report also clarified that:
Number of visitors to the emergency and reception department: 19,946 cases
• Number of visitors to the outpatient clinics: 19,769 cases
• Number of cases for CT scans: 3,131 cases
• Number of cases for ultrasound: 4,451 cases
• Number of cases for regular X-rays: 6,397 cases
• Number of cases for early cancer detection X-rays: 300 cases
• Total cases across various departments: 15,587 cases
• Total number of surgeries: 1,705 surgeries
• Number of ECGs performed in different departments: 16,630 cases
• Total number of cases registered in the laboratories: 40,836 cases
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy confirmed that the Egyptian state has given significant attention to the health sector. In this context, Benha University has achieved a qualitative leap in developing and enhancing the efficiency of services provided to citizens in the university hospitals, noting that the development works in the university hospitals have exceeded 600 million Egyptian pounds in recent years, aiming to continue providing decent medical services to the residents of Kalyobiya Governorate and neighboring provinces.
