Under the auspices of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, Prof. El Sayed Fouda, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, inaugurated the seminar "Combating Violence Against Women," organized by the university's Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in collaboration with the Egyptian Family House.
The event was attended by Prof. Aida Nasif, a professor of philosophy at Cairo University and Secretary of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Senate, as well as the Assistant Rapporteur of the Youth Committee at the Egyptian Family House; Prof. Nahed Abdel Hamid, a literary critic and cultural coordinator at the Ministry of Culture and a member of the Egyptian Writers Union; Prof. Mosaad Oweis, Rapporteur of the Youth Committee and former Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education at Helwan University; Mrs. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development and coordinator of the seminar; Father Ermia Makram, priest of Mar Girgis Church and Assistant Rapporteur of the Youth Committee and member of the General Secretariat of the Egyptian Family House; Sheikh Mohamed Shaaban, responsible for preaching and guidance at Al-Azhar in Kalyobiya; and Engineer Ann Nagi, Director of the Digital Services Building at Benha University and coordinator of the seminar at the Egyptian Family House.
Prof. Nevin Said Abdel Sabour, Director of the University Unit for Combating Violence, stated that the seminar addressed the definition of violence and its types, highlighting the dangers of violence against women and its negative psychological, social, and economic impacts, as well as ways to combat it.
