"Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities”.. Workshop at Benha University

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, inaugurated the workshop titled "Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities," organized by Mustafa Sadek Al-Rafii Center for the Service of Persons with Disabilities.
This event was attended by Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, along with several deans, vice deans, and faculty members.
Prof. El-Gizawy stated that the workshop is part of the Amideast project aimed at establishing and developing centers for persons with disabilities in public universities. He emphasized that Benha University places great importance on individuals with special needs, integrating them into university life, providing all necessary support, and addressing any challenges or issues they may face, considering them partners in national development.
Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi noted that the workshop covered various topics, including raising awareness of the Egyptian law on the rights of persons with disabilities, highlighting concepts, terms, and necessary assessments for different types of disabilities.
Prof. Samar Abdel-Hamid, Director of the Mustafa Sadek Al-Rafii Center, added that the center is keen to hold a series of training courses and workshops for faculty members and assistants at Benha University to raise awareness on how to interact with persons with disabilities.
