"Procedures and Conditions for Applying for Institutional and Program Accreditation for the Academic Year 2025/2026" Workshop at Benha University

Under the auspices of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center organized a workshop to raise awareness about the new procedures for applying for accreditation for the academic year 2025/2026, titled "Procedures and Conditions for Applying for Institutional and Program Accreditation for the Academic Year 2025/2026." This initiative is part of the university's plan to expand the accreditation of faculties and educational programs.
The workshop was attended by Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi, Vice President of the University for postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Mohamed Mohy El-Din Ghanem, Director of the Quality Assurance Center, as well as directors and deputies of quality assurance units in the faculties and educational program coordinators.
Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi emphasized Benha University's support for all faculties and programs to overcome any challenges related to infrastructure and maintenance plans. She pointed out that the university spares no effort in providing all necessary resources to support the implementation and adoption of quality systems to achieve excellence in graduates, meeting the needs of the labor market and competing locally, regionally, and internationally. She confirmed that the university strives to implement quality systems and accreditation across faculties and educational programs, embedding quality concepts at all levels.
Prof. Mohamed Ghanem noted that the workshop explained the procedures for applying for institutional and program accreditation. Applications will be submitted to the authority from July 1-14, 2025, to receive visits during the first semester of the academic year 2025/2026, and from September 15-30, 2025, to receive visits during the second semester of the academic year 2025/2026. He added that it was emphasized that the self-study should be prepared according to the 2022 program accreditation standards (revised edition) as well as the 2015 institutional accreditation standards (revised edition). Furthermore, it is necessary to apply for institutional accreditation simultaneously with program accreditation for at least one program. During the workshop, questions from quality coordinators and program representatives regarding the preparation of essential, primary, and supporting documents and the deadlines for uploading them to the authority's website were addressed.
