Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that a delegation from the university, headed by Prof. Tamer Samir, a professor at the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra and President of Benha National University, accompanied by Prof. Ahmed Omar, also a professor at the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra, visited Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus, Germany, as part of the Erasmus Plus agreement for faculty exchange.
Prof. El-Gizawy confirmed that this visit comes in line with Benha University's commitment to enhancing international partnerships and expanding research collaboration and academic exchange with distinguished global universities. This contributes to improving the university's international ranking, as it continuously strives to achieve global standards by enhancing the quality of its educational, research, and service outputs, which significantly impacts its academic reputation.
For his part, Prof. Tamer Samir stated that during the visit, future cooperation prospects between the university and Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus were discussed. He noted that the visit included a scientific tour of the Materials Science Department to explore the available research and technological capabilities, including tools and equipment used for material diagnosis and analysis, the Welding and Metal Joining Department to review the latest techniques in this field, and the Additive Manufacturing Department to learn about the modern capabilities available to support research and development.
It is noteworthy that there are student exchange scholarships between the two universities for postgraduate studies for teaching assistants from Benha University with Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus, Germany.
