Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, attended the conclusion of the Smart Education Hackathon organized by the university in collaboration with the Innovators and Geniuses Care Fund (ISF) and the Information Technology Institute (ITI) affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

• Prof. Sherif Keshk, Assistant Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Smart Governance,
• Prof. El Sayed Fouda, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development,
• Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi, Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Research,
• Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President of Benha National University for National Universities,
• Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President of Menoufia University,
• Prof. Amal Nasr El-Din, Director of Programs and Projects Management at the Innovators and Geniuses Care Fund,
• Prof. Soha Safwat, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science at the Egyptian Chinese University,
• Prof. Wael Abdel-Kader, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science at Damietta, along with academic and administrative leaders from the university.
During his speech, Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy emphasized that the annual Hackathon organized by the university is a golden opportunity for exchanging ideas and collaborating to find solutions that contribute to improving and developing the education system. He pointed out that the projects and ideas presented during this Hackathon, if invested and utilized appropriately, will open wide doors toward a bright future, not only in the field of education but across various sectors, having a significant impact on the future of education, the national economy, and society as a whole. He noted that universities, with their material and human resources, should have a direct and indirect role in improving and growing the national economy.
Prof. El-Gizawy indicated that Benha University, through organizing the "Smart Education Hackathon," aims to adopt the latest technologies and innovations to enhance education and achieve a qualitative leap in how knowledge is transferred and skills are developed. He added that education in this digital age transcends the limits of traditional classrooms to include innovative learning environments that support interactive education and sustainable self-learning.
Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi stated that Benha University is keen on holding the "Smart Education Hackathon" based on the belief in the role of higher education and scientific research in supporting digital transformation, alongside the continuous efforts to achieve the goals of Egypt's 2030 Vision aimed at transitioning to a knowledge-based digital economy, encouraging innovation, research, and development by enhancing and motivating young programmers and visionaries to present their smart ideas and programming projects.
Prof. Shady El-Meshad, Executive Director of Information, explained that the winning university teams in the Hackathon competitions were honored according to the specified competition fields and tracks, which include: remote education, interactivity in education, flexible education tools, language learning platforms, gamification of learning, learner support systems, and data analysis for education. He noted that the winning teams received cash prizes totaling 280,000 EGP provided by Benha University and the Innovators and Geniuses Care Fund.
At the end of the celebration, Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, along with the attendees, honored the winning teams in the various Hackathon tracks.
