President of Benha University Received Students Participating in the 11th Season of the "Pioneers of Science Application in Egypt" Competition

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, received students participating in the 11th season of the "Pioneers of Science Application in Egypt" competition, abbreviated as "SOLE," which was held under the slogan "Biotechnology Mega Summit." The event was organized by Creative Egypt for Biotechnology at the conference center of Al-Azhar University.
During the meeting, Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy congratulated the winners of the "Pioneers of Science Application in Egypt" competition for their honorable representation of the university. He clarified that the university places great importance on participating in various competitions to encourage students to develop their talents, aiming to prepare generations capable of innovation and creativity in various fields.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy affirmed that the participation of students from the Agricultural Biotechnology program in English at the Faculty of Agriculture in Moshtohor in the various sections of the competition and their achievement of advanced positions reflects the quality of the study programs of the Agricultural Biotechnology program at the university and the efforts made to reach this distinguished level. He added that the university continuously works on introducing new study programs to equip students with skills that help them compete in the job market and future careers.
Prof. Mohamed El-Habib from the Faculty of Agriculture in Moshtohor pointed out the participation of female students Basant El-Sayed El-Shadoudi, Fatma Magdy Said, Rawaan Mostafa El-Sayed, Karima Abdel-Baset El-Sayed, and Asmaa Saad Raslan in the scientific questions competition.
He also mentioned the participation of students Nada Ibrahim Kermani and Nour Yahya Mohamed in the presentation skills competition, where Nada secured second place for presenting on the topic of Bioprinting, while Nour achieved fifth place for presenting on Synthetic Biology.
Moreover, he highlighted the participation of students Abdel-Rahman El-Sayed Hassan, Nahed Mohamed Mahmoud, Nagham Ahmed El-Mu'tasim, Naira Mohamed Abdel-Maaboud, and Basant Osama Abdel-Mo'min with a poster about their scientific research project titled "Maximizing the use of black soldier fly chitin waste," supervised by Prof. Rasha El-Mihy and Prof. Eman Osman. They won the second place award at the research project level, with judges recommending the practical application of the project in the future. Additionally, students Hadeer Ahmed Mohamed, Ola Abdel-Khalek Atiya, Wesam El-Sayed El-Shafie, Abdel-Rahman Mohamed Ibrahim, and Saif Mohamed Abdel-Aziz presented another poster about their research project titled "Molecular Evaluation of the effect of acetylsalicylic acid on quail fertility," supervised by Prof. Tamer El-Akkad, which received great appreciation from the judges who praised the novelty of the idea and the students' skills.
He added that students Mohamed Yahya Abu El-Wafa, Mohamed Reda Afifi, Noha Abdel-Moneim Hassan, Hagar Said El-Gamal, and Yasmin Abdel-Aziz El-Sayed showcased their skills in analytical precision and the accurate selection of appropriate laboratory methods to obtain correct results in the case study competition, leading them to win the fourth place award.
In the entrepreneurship competition, judges praised the idea and management style of the startup company presented by students Rowa Ahmed Saad, Renad Said Saber, Tasneem Khaled Zakaria, Janna Mohamed Abdel-Ghani, Nada Ehab Abdel-Karim, and advised them to continue developing the idea. Student Janna Saleh Ayad also demonstrated outstanding performance in the science simplification competition, excelling in using famous everyday life examples to convey the concept of biosensors and their applications to the judges and audience.
