Under the auspices of the Minister of Higher Education: Conclusion of the Smart Education Hackathon 2025

Under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Smart Education Hackathon concluded, organized by Benha University in collaboration with the Innovators and Talents Care Fund (ISF) and the Information Technology Institute (ITI). The event was attended by Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, Prof. Khaled El Derendly, President of Zagazig University, Prof. Hamdan Rabea El Metwally, President of Damietta University, Prof. Maawad El Kholy, President of New Mansoura University, and Prof. Sherif Keshk, Assistant Minister of Higher Education for Smart Governance.
In his speech, Prof. Nasser El Gizawy emphasized that the annual Hackathon organized by the university represents a golden opportunity for exchanging ideas and collaboration to find solutions that contribute to improving and developing the education system. He pointed out that the projects and ideas presented during this Hackathon, if properly invested and employed, will open wide doors toward a bright future, not only in the field of education but across various sectors, significantly impacting the future of education, the national economy, and society as a whole. He affirmed that universities, with their material and human resources, should have a direct and indirect role in improving and growing the national economy.
Prof. Nasser El Gizawy also highlighted that Benha University, through organizing the "Smart Education Hackathon," aims to adopt the latest technologies and innovations to enhance education and achieve a qualitative leap in knowledge transfer and skill development. He noted that education in the digital age has transcended the limits of traditional classrooms to include innovative learning environments that support interactive education and sustainable self-learning.
On his part, Prof. Hani Ayad, Executive Director of the Innovators and Talents Care Fund, stated that the fund places great importance on providing support to innovators and creators in various fields, aiming to direct young energies towards creativity in line with Egypt's vision for sustainable development and the implementation of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research.
He emphasized that investing in the ideas of innovators is an investment in the future, praising the collaboration with Benha University in organizing the "Smart Education Hackathon," which enhances digital transformation and supports the goals of Egypt's Vision 2030. He expressed his happiness with the success of the Hackathon and the large participation from university students, congratulating the winning teams that received cash prizes totaling 280,000 EGP from Benha University and the fund.

The closing ceremony was attended by Prof. El Sayed Foda, Vice President of Benha University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Jehan Abdel Hadi, Vice President of Benha University for postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Hussein El Maghraby, Vice President of Benha National University, Prof. Nasser Abdel Bari, Vice President of Menoufia University, Prof. Amal Nasr El Din, Director of Programs and Projects Management at the Innovators and Talents Care Fund, Prof. Soha Safwat, Dean of the Faculty of Computers at the Chinese Egyptian University, Prof. Wael Abdel Qader, Dean of the Faculty of Computers in Damietta, along with academic and administrative leaders from Benha University.
