President of Benha University Received Delegation from the University of Louisville

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy is keen on building the capacities of students and researchers at the university.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, received a delegation from the University of Louisville, which included:
• Prof. Essam El-Kurdi, President of Alamein International University,
• Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University,
• Prof. Paul Norman Hoffman, Associate Academic Vice President at the University of Louisville, and
• Prof. Ayman El-Baz, Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department at the University of Louisville.
This visit aimed to introduce students to the joint specialized programs between the two universities. The meeting was attended by:
• Prof. El-Sayed Fouda, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development,
• Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi, Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Research,
• Prof. Karim El-Dash, Vice President of Benha National University for International Relations,
• Prof. Zeinab Faisal, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Benha, and
• Prof. Gamal Abdel-Aziz, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy indicated that the visit comes within the framework of the academic cooperation agreement between Benha University and the University of Louisville, which includes the establishment of dual degree programs in various engineering disciplines. This aligns with the vision and strategy of Benha University to open up to the world and support the capacity building of students, researchers, and faculty members, ultimately enhancing the quality of academic and research outputs.
Prof. El-Gizawy added that a seminar will be held with students from the engineering faculties in Shubra and Benha across various disciplines to introduce them to the new undergraduate partnership programs, summer training opportunities, and to address their inquiries. A meeting will also be held with graduating students and recent graduates to present opportunities for studying master's and doctoral degrees at the University of Louisville.
It is noteworthy that Benha University signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Louisville in 2022.
