Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, opened the "Welcome Ramadan" exhibition, accompanied by Prof. El-Sayed Foda, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development. The exhibition was organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the colleges' Campus in Benha.
This event was attended by :
• Prof. Amani Abbas, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine,
• Prof. Hani Shehta, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education,
• Several college deans,
• Mrs. Sherin Shawki, Secretary General of the University,
• Mr. Refaat Nan, Assistant Secretary of the University for Administrative Affairs,
• Mrs. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The university president and his companions toured the various sections of the exhibition, praising the diversity and quality of the products.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy stated that organizing the "Welcome Ramadan" exhibition by Benha University stems from its community service role to provide strategic products and contribute to food security, alleviating the burden on its members in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan.
He added that the prices at the exhibition are up to 30% lower than those in local markets, allowing university members and citizens to purchase their basic necessities at reasonable prices. The exhibition includes a variety of products such as rice, sugar, oil, pasta, dairy products, cheese, meat, vegetables, ghee, legumes, and other food items needed by families during Ramadan.
For his part, Prof. El-Sayed Foda clarified that the exhibition will continue for two consecutive days, indicating that many civil society organizations are participating to provide essential goods at reasonable prices, especially with the increasing demand during Ramadan.
