Benha University President Inspected Studies at the Faculties of Arts and Commerce and Renovation Works at the Surgery Building in the University Hospital

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, the President of Benha University, conducted an inspection tour of the Faculties of Arts and Commerce to monitor the educational process. He was accompanied by Prof. Amgad Hegazy, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Magdy Maligi, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, and the deputies of both faculties.
Details of the Tour:
• Classroom Inspections: The President met with students and listened to their concerns, emphasizing the importance of their psychological stability to create a safe environment within the university campus.
• Encouragement of Student Activities: He highlighted the necessity of engaging in student activities.
Monitoring Renovation Works:
• He toured the General Administration for Education and Student Affairs to oversee the workflow and renovations within the Surgery Building at the University Hospital, in preparation for its upcoming opening.
• Accompanying him were Prof. Mohamed Al-Ashhab, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Omar Al-Dakhakhni, Executive Director of University Hospitals, and Prof. Al-Mu'taz Billah Jamal Al-Din, General Consultant for the Development of University Hospitals.
Development Project:
• The current renovation project of the Surgery Building is being carried out according to modern medical and architectural codes, as the building was designed in 1979 and constructed in 1981.
• The renovation works include:
• Increasing the number of beds to 216 instead of approximately 140.
• 52 patient rooms distributed over 4 floors.
• 208 patient beds with 4 beds per room.
• 2 negative pressure isolation rooms.
• 6 examination and ultrasound rooms on each floor.
• An administrative academic floor with 7 complete surgical departments and 2 lecture halls with a capacity of 25 students each.
