President of Benha University Participated in the French-Egyptian Conference for Scientific and University Cooperation

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, the President of Benha University, participated in the launch of the Egyptian-French Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research, which is held over two days on April 7 and 8. This event coincides with the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Cairo, attended by high-level representatives from both the Egyptian and French sides, under the patronage of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Mr. Philippe Baptiste, French Minister of Higher Education. The forum saw the participation of a wide array of leaders from Egyptian and French universities, as well as higher education and scientific research officials from both countries, totaling approximately 400 participants from over 100 Egyptian and French institutions.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy expressed his happiness at participating in this international event, emphasizing Benha University's commitment to engaging with prestigious global universities and forming partnerships aimed at enhancing the capabilities of students, researchers, and faculty members at Benha University, ultimately serving the quality of academic and research outputs according to global standards.
The forum included discussions on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and the signing of cooperation protocols between the Egyptian and French sides, supported by the Supreme Council of Universities. This includes agreements with French engineering schools and an agreement between the French embassy and the Science, Technology, and Innovation Support Fund to finance post-doctoral programs.
Additionally, the forum featured several specialized discussion sessions on:
