Benha University Delegation Visited University of Thessaly in Greece

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that a delegation from the university, led by Prof. Jehan Abdel Hadi, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, has made an official visit to the University of Thessaly in Greece. The purpose of the visit is to explore ways to enhance research collaboration and academic exchange between the two universities.
• The visit is part of the Erasmus+ cooperation agreement between Benha University and the University of Thessaly.
• It aims to strengthen international partnerships and broaden the horizons of scientific and cultural exchange.
• Several productive meetings took place with Prof. Chrissy Laspidou, Vice President of the University of Thessaly for Innovation, Internationalization, and Digital
Governance. Discussions included:
• Exchange of faculty members and students.
• Reviewing the master's programs offered in English and potential collaboration in these programs.
• Possibilities for launching dual degree programs between the two universities.
• The delegation also met with Prof. Eleni Malisiova, a professor in the Department of Animal Science, and Prof. Athanasios Manorass, a professor of Food Chemistry, to discuss opportunities for scientific collaboration and training programs for graduate students under the Erasmus+ agreement.
• The delegation visited the study site of Mena Hatem El-Shishtawy, a PhD researcher at Benha University, who is currently undergoing a training period at the University of Thessaly as part of the Erasmus+ program. The delegation learned about her training experience and its impact on her academic life.
• The delegation also met with Prof. Christina Karatzafiri, a professor in Exercise Physiology and Muscle Science, where they discussed the program's content, credit hours, duration, and the feasibility of implementing it in Egypt.
