Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy Raised Emergency Status at Benha University Hospitals

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced the raising of the emergency status at the university hospitals in conjunction with the celebrations of Easter and Sham El-Nessim. He emphasized the necessity of having essential medications and medical supplies available, as well as the presence of all medical specialties and nursing teams to receive any patients, stressing the importance of treating patients and their families well and alleviating their suffering.
Prof. El-Gizawy confirmed that the university is keen on developing the university hospitals and increasing their capacity in line with the comprehensive strategic plan adopted by the Egyptian state. This is in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, highlighting the importance of intensifying efforts to develop the healthcare system in Egypt and enhancing the efficiency of university hospitals, which are considered the backbone of medical services in the governorates.
In a statement to the university's media office, Prof. El-Gizawy thanked the Board of Directors of Benha University Hospitals, department heads, medical teams, and nursing staff for their provision of healthcare services and fulfilling all necessary needs for the patients.
Prof. Mohamed Al-Ashhab, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Benha University Hospitals, stated that the readiness level has been raised in the reception, emergency, and critical care departments during the celebrations of holidays and events, ensuring sufficient quantities of blood bags and derivatives to handle emergency cases.
Prof. Amr El-Dakhakhni, Executive Director of Benha University Hospitals, mentioned that an operations room has been established to receive any reports around the clock. He also highlighted the organization of leaves and breaks, ensuring the presence of doctors and nursing teams, and increasing shifts at all levels during the holidays and various events to provide the necessary medical services to those visiting the university hospitals.
