President of Benha University Welcomed Delegation from Central China Agricultural University

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, welcomed a delegation from Central China Agricultural University, led by Prof. Chang Chifa, during the opening of the Fourth Annual Conference for Postgraduate Studies in Applied Sciences.

Purpose of the Visit

• There has been cooperation between Benha University and Central China Agricultural University for over 10 years, with many students from Benha University studying for master's and doctoral degrees at the Chinese university.
• The collaboration also includes scientific research, evidenced by joint publications in international journals.
Information about Prof. Chang Chifa
• A professor at the National Key Laboratory for Crop Genetic Improvement.
• Known for his research on the functional genome of rice.
• Currently leads efforts to develop "super nutritious green rice," which requires less fertilizer, pesticides, and water.
This collaboration enhances food security while reducing harmful environmental impacts, paving the way for "green agriculture" in China.
