Benha University organizes the 1st Festival of the Greater Cairo Region Universities Alliance for Folk Arts

Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University, Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zein El Abidine, President of Ain Shams University, and Dr. El Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, witnessed the opening of the first festival of the Greater Cairo Region Universities Alliance for Folk Arts, which was organized by Benha University with the participation of the universities of the Greater Cairo Region Alliance, namely Benha, Cairo, Ain Shams, and Helwan.
The Festival was attended by Dr. Mona Hagras, Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities, Dr. Sayed Fouda, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Jihan Abdel Hadi, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, artist Tarek El-Dessouky, Deans and Vice Deans of Faculties, Dr. Khaled El Esawy, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University, the Secretary-General of the University, Assistant Secretaries-General, Director-General of the General Administration of Youth Care, and number of the University students'. For his part, Dr. Nasser El Gizawy emphasized that the festival comes within the framework of Benha University's keenness to enhance the role of student activities in preserving the Egyptian heritage and popular identity, pointing out the necessity of rooting the Egyptian identity and benefiting from the energies of youth within universities and educating future generations about the Egyptian heritage and authentic Egyptian culture of Egyptian society by simulating inspiring stories that express the ancient Egyptian history. El-Gizawy also praised the outstanding performance and the excellent level shown by the male and female students participating in the festival, expressing his happiness and thanks to those in charge of organizing this festival, noting that Benha University is keen to support all distinguished and talented students in various fields and student activities.
