President of Benha University met with President of Huazhong Agricultural University

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, met with Prof. Jiaochi, President of Huazhong Agricultural University, on the sidelines of the Global Conference on Digital Education held in Wuhan, China, from May 14 to 16.
The meeting was attended by heads of the International Cooperation and Exchange Departments, as well as the College of Plant Science and Technology, and other units at Huazhong Agricultural University.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy stated in a press release from the media office of Benha University that the meeting aims to enhance joint cooperation between the two universities. He noted that cooperation between Benha University and Huazhong Agricultural University has been ongoing for over 10 years, praising the distinguished relationships in various educational, research, and training fields, and supporting the partnership between the two institutions.
Prof. El-Gizawy expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception from the President of Huazhong Agricultural University, emphasizing Benha University's aspiration for more fruitful cooperation in education, scientific research, cultural exchange, and other aspects in the future.
Prof. Jiaochi reviewed the close cooperation between the two universities in talent development, scientific research, and other areas over the years. He expressed hope that both sides could deepen comprehensive cooperation in student exchanges, academic exchanges for faculty, scientific research collaboration, and other areas under the Chinese "Belt and Road" initiative, effectively promoting the implementation of specific cooperation projects between the two universities.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy visited international students from Benha University at Huazhong Agricultural University, commending the efforts made by Huazhong Agricultural University in supporting students and providing them with good living conditions, care, and services during their studies.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy is also scheduled to visit the College of Life Sciences and the College of Plant Sciences to discuss student exchanges and the establishment of joint laboratories or research and innovation centers, as well as visiting the Hubei Hongshan Laboratory and the National Key Laboratory for Crop Genetic Improvement.
There has been close cooperation between Benha University and Huazhong Agricultural University since the signing of a cooperation agreement in 2015. A significant number of students from Benha University, particularly from the Colleges of Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture, have been welcomed to pursue master's and doctoral degrees, as well as grants for post-doctoral research. The collaboration in scientific research is evident through the published research in international journals bearing the names of both universities.
