Cooperation Protocol between Benha University and the Lake Protection and Fish Wealth Development Authority

Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, and Major General Hussein Farhat Mohamed, Executive Director of the Lake Protection and Fish Wealth Development Authority, signed a joint cooperation protocol in the fields of education, scientific research, the environment, and community service.
The signing ceremony was attended by:
• Prof. El Sayed Fouda, Vice President of the university for Community Service and Environmental Development,
• Prof. Jehan Abdel Hadi, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research,
• Deans of the faculties of Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, and Science,
• Assistant Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development.
Prof. Nasser El Gizawy emphasized that the protocol aims to enhance cooperation and maximize the benefits from the available resources, scientific equipment, and central laboratories at Benha University and the authority. This collaboration will facilitate joint applied research and training between researchers in their shared fields, as well as encourage the proposal of joint applied research projects to promote collaboration between the two entities and develop a research plan to serve environmental and community development.
He also noted that training courses and joint workshops will be held between the university and the authority in areas of mutual interest to increase awareness and knowledge among researchers and prepare them for the job market.
Major General Hussein Farhat Mohamed expressed his happiness with the collaboration with Benha University, highlighting the university's extensive international cooperation with many prestigious research and educational institutions worldwide. He pointed out that the authority places special importance on practical training in all types of fish farming and related fields, as well as the development and utilization of lakes and water bodies across the country through collaboration with various research and educational institutions to achieve these goals.
