Prof. Nasser Al-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced the organization of the "First Benha University Robot Championship," which will take place next September. This initiative is part of the global trend towards artificial intelligence and advanced technologies. He pointed out that the championship is a distinctive student and technological event aimed at developing practical and creative skills for students in the fields of robotics, programming, and artificial intelligence.
The university president added that the championship aims to stimulate creativity and innovation in the fields of robotics and intelligent systems, providing a competitive platform to showcase student projects and practical applications. It will also enhance teamwork and problem-solving in an advanced technological context, linking academic education with industrial and professional realities, preparing students for the digital job market, and enhancing their technical skills.
Prof. Jehan Abdel Hadi, Vice President of the University for postgraduate Studies and Research, indicated that the target participants for the championship are students from the faculties of:
• Engineering,
• Computer Science,
• Artificial Intelligence,
• students from technical and technological schools,
• Faculty members,
• Technology enthusiasts.
Prof. Jehan Abdel Hadi further stated that the winners of the championship in the top three positions will receive certificates of appreciation and cash prizes. She noted that:
• The first-place winner will receive 10,000 Egyptian pounds,
• The second place will receive 8,000 Egyptian pounds,
• The third place will receive 6,000 Egyptian pounds,
• Along with special prizes for the best design, best programming, and best innovative idea, each worth 8,000 Egyptian pounds.
