Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced the raising of the emergency status at the university hospitals in anticipation of Eid al-Adha. He emphasized the necessity of having the required medications and medical supplies available, as well as ensuring that all medical specialties and nursing teams are present throughout the holiday celebrations to handle any medical cases.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy stressed the importance of treating patients and their families with kindness and contributing to alleviating their suffering, noting that the university is keen on developing the university hospitals and increasing their capacity to provide outstanding medical and educational services to the residents of Qalyubia Governorate and neighboring provinces.
Prof. Mohamed Al-Ashhab, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals, stated that the preparedness level has been heightened in the emergency and critical care departments during the holiday celebrations, with sufficient quantities of blood bags and their derivatives provided to handle emergency cases during Eid al-Adha.
Prof. Amr Al-Dakhakhni, Executive Director of Benha University Hospitals, explained that an operations room has been established to receive any reports around the clock, in addition to organizing vacations and breaks while ensuring the presence of doctors and nursing staff and doubling shifts at all levels to provide necessary medical services to those visiting the university hospitals.
