Under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, visited the University of Louisville in the USA as part of an Egyptian delegation. The delegation included:
• Prof. Abdulaziz Qansoua President of Alexandria University
• Prof. Ahmed El-Qased President of Menoufia University
• Prof. Essam El-Kordi President of Alamein International University
• Prof. Moawad El-Khouly President of New Mansoura University
• Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby Vice President for Academic Affairs at Benha National University.
Prof. El-Gizawy stated that the visit aligns with Egypt's National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, which emphasizes international benchmarking to strengthen ties between Egyptian universities and globally renowned institutions.
He highlighted Benha University's efforts to expand collaboration with the University of Louisville, including:
1. Establishing dual Master's degree programs in Engineering under a 1+1 system1 year in Egypt + 1 year in the USA.
2. Exploring dual degrees in Arts, Sciences, and Business Administration, alongside engineering and technology programs.
Prof. El-Gizawy emphasized Benha University's commitment to global engagement to enhance the capabilities of students, researchers, and faculty, ultimately improving academic and research outcomes.
Notably, several cooperation protocols with the University of Louisville have already been signed to launch dual-degree programs in engineering fields.
