Signing a Cooperation Agreement between Benha University and the University of Louisville, USA

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Louisville, USA, during his official visit to the University of Louisville in Kentucky as part of an Egyptian delegation that includes several presidents of public and private universities in Egypt.
The cooperation with the University of Louisville aims to establish a joint pathway for obtaining a Master of Science degree in engineering disciplines. The signing ceremony was attended by Professor Catherine Cardinelli, Interim Academic President of the University of Louisville, Professor Emmanuel Collins, Dean of the College of Engineering, university administration representatives, and a delegation of participating Egyptian university presidents.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy emphasized Benha University's commitment to opening up to the world and creating new avenues for academic and research collaboration with the University of Louisville in various fields. These include developing joint study programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supporting collaborative scientific research in priority disciplines, exchanging faculty members, researchers, and students, as well as organizing workshops and scientific conferences between Egyptian universities and the University of Louisville. This collaboration aims to serve the goals of sustainable development and the national strategy for higher education, benefiting students, faculty members, and academic institutions on both sides.
The President of Benha University expressed his happiness at signing this agreement, which he considers a culmination of a series of fruitful meetings and discussions held during the visit. These included several university faculties and meetings with a large number of academic leaders at the American university, resulting in a consensus on the importance of exchanging experiences and developing joint academic programs that align with international standards and enhance the status of Egyptian universities on the global stage.
Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, witnessed the signing of the agreement "online" and delivered a speech in which he affirmed that this agreement between Egyptian universities and the University of Louisville is an important step in the development of Egyptian higher education. It underscores the Egyptian state's commitment to academic openness and collaboration with major global universities to build a modern educational system that keeps pace with global changes and contributes to preparing competitive professionals.
The agreement will open new horizons for Egyptian students to pursue postgraduate studies at the University of Louisville under a credit hour system. The program stipulates that students complete 6 credit hours at their home Egyptian university before transferring to complete an additional 24 credit hours at the University of Louisville, qualifying them for a Master of Science degree in various engineering disciplines.
