Under the auspices of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi, Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Research, inaugurated a workshop titled "Program and Course Description on the 2025 Models," organized by the Quality Assurance Center in the central library building. This is part of the university's plan to expand the accreditation of colleges and educational programs and to prepare the university's colleges for the submission of files for institutional accreditation.
The event was attended by Prof. Mohamed Mohy Ghanem, Director of the Quality Assurance Center, as well as directors and deputies of quality assurance units, program coordinators, and those responsible for descriptions in the colleges.
Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi stated that the university spares no effort in supporting quality and accreditation systems by providing continuous training and development for educational programs, as well as supporting and maintaining the infrastructure, classrooms, laboratories, and workshops, and providing learning resources. She pointed out that the university plans to submit several colleges and programs for accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education during July and September 2025.
Prof. Mohamed Mohy Ghanem mentioned that the workshop addressed the mechanisms for describing programs and courses using the new models issued by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (June 2025) in light of the national academic reference standards for various sectors and internal regulations. It clarified the formulation of program objectives according to graduate specifications and discussed the mechanism for preparing the matrices required to ensure that the standards align with the program outcomes and targeted learning outcomes for the courses, as well as the role of the development committee in colleges and scientific departments in designing and updating educational programs periodically, along with the role of faculty members in describing their courses in accordance with the program outcomes (PO) and the internal regulations.
the Vice President conducted an inspection tour of the Faculty Members' Capabilities Center at the university, where she reviewed some of the courses offered by the center to university affiliates, accompanied by Prof. Naglaa Fekry, Director of the Faculty Members' Capabilities Center.
She also visited the Center for Gifted and Creative Students at the university and observed some workshops and artistic activities organized by the center for students, accompanied by Prof. Mona Nasr, Director of the Center for Gifted and Creative Students at the university.
