Prof.Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, conducted an extensive inspection tour of the Faculty of Agriculture in Mashtohar, which included inspecting the development work of the facilities and the harvest of the productive farms.
This was attended by Dr. Sayed Fouda, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Jihan Abdel Hadi, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Mahmoud El-Zablawy, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Mashtohar, Dr. Zeinab Faisal, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Benha, Dr. Mohamed Saeed, Engineering Advisor to the President of the University, Dr. Ihab Farid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Community Service Affairs, Dr. Sayed Khater, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Ms. Sherine Shawky, Secretary General of the University, Ms. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary General of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and a number of faculty members.
Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy began the tour by inspecting the work on the project to upgrade and develop the plant protection building at the college, which includes training and research laboratories, discussion halls, and offices for faculty members.
The university president reviewed the progress of the project, stressing the importance of adhering to the timetable, quality of implementation, final finishing touches, and necessary equipment for the facilities, in accordance with approved specifications.
The President of Benha University and his companions, along with the students of the summer school at Central China Agricultural University, planted 1,000 olive tree seedlings of high-quality varieties for oil production and pickling (Coratina, Cornaki, Picual, Manzanillo) on an area of 5 acres in the Faculty of Agriculture, provided by Al Salam International Company for Agricultural Development and Investment, within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed between Benha University and Al Salam International Company for Agricultural Development and Investment to support sustainable agricultural development.
El-Gizawy emphasized that the tree-planting efforts are part of the presidential initiative launched by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to plant 100 million trees to address climate challenges and change, increase green spaces, spread environmental awareness, realize economic benefits from trees, and improve public health.
