The summer school activities for resilient coastal cities for students of Benha University have concluded.

The summer school "Resilient Coastal Cities," organized by Benha University in partnership with the Egyptian-Japanese University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), took place under the auspices of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, and Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi, Vice President of the University for postgraduate Studies and Research.
Prof. Zainab Faisal, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Benha, stated that the program was titled "Resilient Coastal Cities: Challenges, Solutions, and Future Opportunities," and it spanned four days at the Egyptian-Japanese University in Borg Al Arab.
Faisal noted that the events discussed the challenges facing coastal cities in Egypt and ways to enhance their resilience.
The program included a field visit to the New Alamein City to observe the latest development projects, as well as discussion sessions covering concepts of urban resilience and sustainable planning. It also featured workshops to develop innovative engineering solutions in areas such as climate-resilient design and smart infrastructure development. Additionally, participating teams presented their solutions and proposals, highlighting promising job and research opportunities in these vital fields.
At the conclusion of the events, certificates were distributed to the participants in recognition of their efforts and effective contributions.
