Prof. El-Gizawy Opened the First Benha University Robotics Championship

The President of Benha University: We are keen on developing students' practical and creative skills in the fields of robotics, programming, and artificial intelligence.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, inaugurated the activities of the first Benha University Robotics Championship, organized by the university's Faculty of Sports Science.
The event was attended by Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi, Vice President of the University for postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Osama Salah, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Science, the college's deputies, and coordinated by Prof. Mohamed Taha, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence for Graduate Studies, with organization by Mrs. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The university president and his companions took a tour during which he listened to the opinions and ideas of the participating students, affirming Benha University's commitment to providing an encouraging and supportive environment for innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship by allowing students to market their projects and innovations.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy indicated that the first Benha University Robotics Championship is a distinctive student and technological event aimed at developing students' practical and creative skills in the fields of robotics, programming, and artificial intelligence. It provides a competitive platform to showcase students' projects and practical applications, enhancing creativity and innovation in smart systems. The championship also contributes to linking academic education with industrial and professional realities, preparing students for the digital job market.
The championship targets students from public, private, and technological universities, as well as those specializing in faculties of engineering, computers and artificial intelligence, and sciences, in addition to students from technical and technological schools and faculty members interested in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence.
Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi explained that the championship is divided into seven categories, including ground robots, combat robots, underwater robots, maze-solving robots, robotic arm challenges, drones, the metaverse, virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR).
Prof. Mohamed Taha, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, noted that the winners of the top three positions will receive cash prizes, along with special awards for the best design, programming, and innovative ideas, encouraging students to produce advanced robotics technology.
