Under the auspices of Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, Dr. Gehan Abdel Hadi, the University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, inaugurated the activities of the first training program for graduation projects 2025. The opening was attended by Dr. Ayman Samir, Executive Director of the University's Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Marketing Center. The program is organized by the University's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the Benha Colleges Complex and continues until September 18th.
The training program was led by Dr. Mahmoud Zain El-Abedin, Head of the Entrepreneurship Sector at the Medium, Small, and Micro Enterprises Development Agency; Dr. Rabab Yousry, Senior Director of the Entrepreneurship Sector at the Medium, Small, and Micro Enterprises Development Agency; and Dr. Dalia Mostafa, Senior Director of the Entrepreneurship Sector at the Medium, Small, and Micro Enterprises Development Agency. The event was also attended by Dr. Mohamed Bassiouni, Director of the University's Sustainable Development Unit, and Dr. Sayed Sherif, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Commerce.
Prof.Dr. Gehan Abdel Hadi emphasized that the training comes within the framework of the University's plan to support its students in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship, in cooperation with the Medium, Small, and Micro Enterprises Development Agency and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.
The University Vice President clarified that the program targets final-year students (fourth and fifth years) for the academic year 2025/2026. It addresses the topic of preparing a Business Plan, aiming to equip students with the practical skills to transform graduation projects into viable startup ventures.
For his part, Dr. Ayman Samir stated that the training program covered several key themes, including: an introduction to the business plan and its importance, and the difference between it and the business model canvas; defining the project's vision, mission, and strategic objectives; the marketing plan: market study, marketing mix, competitor analysis; the financial plan: sales, costs, break-even point, financial statements; and preparing the final draft of the project plan.
The Executive Director of the Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Marketing Center indicated that this training represents an important practical step to help students transform their graduation project ideas from mere academic studies into applicable entrepreneurial projects that can be implemented in the job market. This aims to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among youth and support the state's efforts in finding innovative solutions to societal and developmental challenges.
