Benha University Among the Best Arab Universities According to the Times Higher Education Classification for Higher Education Institutions for 2026

Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that the Times Higher Education (THE) classification for higher education institutions has revealed the results of its special edition for the ranking of Arab universities for 2026. Benha University was ranked 93rd among 268 universities and educational institutions in 18 Arab countries included in this release. Locally, the University ranked 15th among 51 Egyptian universities included in this edition.
El-Gizawy indicated that this edition of the Times Higher Education classification for Arab universities is named the Arab University Rankings 2026. This is because it relies directly on data from the THE World University Rankings 2026 and falls within the same annual data cycle. Last year's edition was named the 2024 edition, which does not mean that any year was skipped since the launch of the Arab University Rankings in 2021.
He added that the classification is based on eighteen indicators to measure university performance across five pillars: Teaching, Research Quality, Research Environment, International Outlook, and Industry Income.
Prof.Dr. Jehan Abdel Hadi, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, clarified that the university scored the following in the five pillars of the classification: 67.1 in the Research Quality pillar, 10.3 in the Research Environment pillar, 49.0 in the International Outlook pillar, 16.5 in the Teaching pillar, and finally 22.0 in the Industry Income pillar.
