Benha University President Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy received Prof.Dr. Zhou Diyi, President of Hubei Academy of Science and Technology, and his accompanying delegation to discuss joint cooperation in the fields of agricultural sciences and technology .

The meeting was attended by Prof.Dr. Jehan Abdel Hadi, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof.Dr. Mohamed Heikal, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Prof.Dr. Mahmoud El-Zaablawi, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; Prof.Dr. Abdel Fattah Selim, Executive Director of the International Relations and Envoys Care Office; and a number of professors from the Faculty of Agriculture at Benha University .
During the meeting ;El-Gizawy welcomed the delegation from the Chinese academy. He stated that this visit reflects the depth of historical relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the People's Republic of China, relations that extend through decades of long cooperation and friendship, growing stronger over time to become a cornerstone in building strategic partnerships that serve the interests of the two peoples .
Prof.Dr. El-Gizawy pointed out that Benha University is a leading Egyptian institution that combines authenticity and modernity, continuously seeking to develop its academic programs in line with international standards. He added that the University pays special attention to applied scientific research that serves the local and regional community, possesses a wide network of specialized research centers, and always supports innovation and entrepreneurship among its students, in addition to its interest in international cooperation .
The University President explained that there are many avenues of cooperation to be achieved together, such as enhancing joint scientific research in priority fields like artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and medical sciences; exchanging academic expertise through visit programs for professors and researchers; and student exchange programs that grant students the opportunity to learn about leading international experiences . He also mentioned cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship through establishing business incubators and joint laboratories .
For his part, Dr. Zhou Diyi affirmed that the relationship between Egypt and China is strong and has witnessed development in all fields over the past five decades. Therefore, Hubei Academy looks forward to cooperating with Benha University in many areas, especially in agricultural sciences and technology, to be a model of fruitful international cooperation in scientific research .
During the meeting, an introductory video about Benha University was shown, highlighting its long academic history and distinguished research capabilities, in addition to another video about Hubei Academy of Science and Technology, allowing both delegations to learn about the potentials and scientific programs of each party .
