President of Benha University Receives the Egyptian Government Excellence Award Team from the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development

"El-Gizawy": We Seek to Achieve Institutional Excellence in All Fields
Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, received the team of the Egyptian Government Excellence Award from the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development. The delegation was headed by Prof.Dr. Ashraf Abdel Baset, President of the University of Hertfordshire, and Dr. Suha Saeed, Executive Director of the Award, and included members Prof.Dr. Mahmoud Zaki, former President of Tanta University, Dr. Ahmed Sedeek, Director of Evaluation and Quality, and other team members. The meeting preceded the start of the final results discussion sessions for evaluating the files of the university's colleges submitted for the award in the "Best Institution" category for its fourth cycle in 2025.
The meeting was attended by Prof.Dr. Jehan Abdel Hadi, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Abdel Kader Abdel Karim, General Coordinator of Administrative Quality at the University and Head of the Team; Dr. Mervat Kozman, Training Expert for Government Excellence Awards; Professor Rania Moataz, Assistant University Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development and Award Coordinator at the University; Professor Ahmed Hassany, Member of the Administrative Quality Systems Unit and Communication Officer; and the team of trained government excellence evaluators at the university.
In his speech, Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy expressed his happiness that 4 colleges from Benha University achieved advanced positions among the 16 colleges, and that two colleges were escalated to compete for the Egyptian Government Excellence Award. He emphasized that this achievement reflects the distinguished efforts and the spirit of positive competition among the colleges to reach excellence.
"El-Gizawy" confirmed that Benha University is keen to participate in the fourth phase of the Egyptian Government Excellence Award for Egyptian universities, in implementation of its vision to spread the culture of institutional excellence and consolidate the concepts of quality and creativity within all its sectors and colleges, and to develop its human resources, in line with Egypt's 2030 vision to build an efficient administrative apparatus that achieves sustainable development.
Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy added that Benha University seeks to achieve institutional excellence in all fields, whether at the level of individuals or institutions, thanking all participants and pointing out that this success came as a result of the actual application of governance concepts and performance quality that the University works to establish and continuously improve in its various sectors.
The University President indicated the university's aspiration to establish an internal incentive to encourage the participation of all faculties, individuals, and department managers in the Government Excellence Award, aiming to develop performance and improve services provided to students, faculty members, staff, and all university personnel, wishing the qualified colleges success and leadership.
For her part, Dr. Suha Saeed expressed her appreciation for the warm reception from the University President, expressing her happiness to be at the prestigious Benha University. She confirmed that the Government Excellence Award represents a passion and an ability to create an institutional culture that contributes to achieving tangible development within the institution, explaining that real excellence starts with sound leadership and represents a continuous journey towards pioneering.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the University President presented an honorary shield to the award team, headed by Dr. Ashraf Abdel Baset, President of the University of Hertfordshire, and Dr. Suha Saeed, and the university's award management team was honored.
Following the meeting, the award team began discussion sessions with the evaluators regarding their assessment of the files for the qualified colleges, which included the Faculties of Agriculture, Engineering at Benha, Education, and Commerce, with the Faculties of Agriculture and Engineering at Benha being selected for escalation for the award.
