Under the Presidential Initiative "Tamkeen": Benha University Organizes an Entrepreneurship Workshop for People of Determination

Under the patronage of Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, and Dr. Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Benha University organized a specialized training workshop titled: "Entrepreneurship for People of Determination – Skills, Opportunities, and Empowerment." This workshop falls within the framework of the Presidential Initiative "Tamkeen" and in celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, aiming to support and empower the university's students of determination by equipping them with the essential skills to establish innovative and feasible projects.
The workshop events were held in cooperation between the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and the General Administration for Youth Welfare, in collaboration with the Medium, Small, and Micro Enterprise Development Agency and the Mustafa Al-Rifai Center for People with Disabilities at Benha University.
The event was attended by Dr. Khaled El-Isawi, General Coordinator of Student Activities; Dr. Ahmed Zakaria, Director of the University's Patent Office; and Dr. Samar Abdel Hamid, Director of the Mustafa Al-Rifai Center for People with Disabilities at Benha University.
The workshop was delivered by a specialized team from the Medium, Small, and Micro Enterprise Development Agency, consisting of: Dr. Walid Abdullah Gouda, Senior Director at the Enterprise Development Agency in Qalyubia – affiliated with the Cabinet, and Professor Wael Majed, Deputy Director of the Central Sector for Non-Financial Services at the Agency.
Dr. Ayman Samir, Executive Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Benha University, emphasized that organizing this workshop aligns with the University's pioneering role in supporting initiatives for the economic and social empowerment of people of determination. He noted that the center continuously works to provide training and awareness programs that help students transform their innovative ideas into successful and implementable projects.
He explained that the Presidential Initiative "Tamkeen" represents a genuine platform for creating new opportunities for students of determination both within and outside the university.
For his part, Dr. Khaled El-Isawi, General Coordinator of Student Activities, stated that the university places special emphasis on integrating its students of determination into various activities and programs, affirming that such workshops contribute to enhancing their capabilities, developing their skills, and paving the way for them to enter the job market with confidence and effectiveness.
During the workshop, the lecturers presented advanced training content on entrepreneurship, idea development, and mechanisms for transforming ideas into feasible projects, in addition to explaining the services provided by the Enterprise Development Agency and the available support areas.
The workshop also included: practical training on generating innovative ideas, designing project models, and reviewing funding and support opportunities available for people of determination.
The workshop witnessed significant interaction from the participants, who presented innovative ideas capable of being developed and implemented with the support of the participating entities.
