The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Benha University organized an awareness caravan on handicrafts at the Sanhara Youth Center in Toukh. This initiative aligns with the university's keenness to encourage the localization of handicrafts as a form of entrepreneurship aimed at economically empowering women.
The event was held under the patronage of Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University;Prof.Dr. Hany Shehta, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education; and Dr. Yasser Abdel Rahman, the Faculty's Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. It was coordinated by Professor Rania Moataz, the University's Assistant Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Walid El-Faramawy, Director of the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Qalyubia.
The Seminar was delivered by Dr. Yasmine Talaat El-Bigawy, Rana Walid Kamal Ali, and Amnia Ahmed Saleh from the Faculty of Specific Education.
The Caravan included a series of workshops to raise awareness among residents of the Sanhara center about various handicrafts, their importance to the individual and society, and how to engage with handicrafts in light of modern developments. Several examples of easy and simple handicrafts were displayed for participants, along with demonstrations on how to create them.
