The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Benha University organized an awareness caravan on handicrafts at Al-Ramla Youth Center in Benha. This initiative aligns with the University's keenness to encourage the localization of handicrafts as a form of entrepreneurship aimed at economically empowering women.
The event was held under the patronage of Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University; Prof.Dr. Hany Shehta, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education; and Prof.Dr. Yasser Abdel Rahman, the Faculty's Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. It was coordinated by Professor Rania Moataz, the University's Assistant Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Walid El-Faramawy, Director of the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Qalyubia.
The Caravan included a series of practical workshops on handicrafts such as embroidery and crochet, providing training to attendees on these crafts and how to work with them. Several samples of handicrafts were also displayed.
