Under the patronage of Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy , President of Benha University, Prof.Dr. Taha Ashour , Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, inaugurated a symposium titled "Identity and Values in an Era of Change... How Do We Create a Balanced Human Being?".
The symposium was organized by the University's Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in cooperation with the Egyptian Family House and the Islamic Research Center, as part of the "We Start with the Human Being" initiative, in the Tahya Misr Hall.
The event was attended by Prof.Dr. Hassan El-Sayed Khalil , Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Complex at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif; Dr. Masad Owais , Coordinator of the Youth Committee at the Egyptian Family House; Ms. Rania Moataz , Assistant University Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and the university's symposium coordinator; Priest Armia Makram , Priest of St. George's Church in Sahel Shubra and Assistant Coordinator of the Youth Committee at the Egyptian Family House; Mr. Emad Talaat , Human Resources Development Consultant at the International Federation of Friends of the United Nations; and Engineer Ann Naji , member of the Central Youth Committee of the Egyptian Family House.
Dr. Taha Ashour affirmed that the symposium comes as an activation of the protocol signed between the university and the Egyptian Family House through organizing various activities and events aimed at promoting the values of loyalty, belonging, and patriotism. He added that the symposium focused on raising youth awareness about authentic national, human, and religious values and their role in building human character.
On the other hand, the symposium featured speeches by Prof.Dr. Hassan El-Sayed Khalil ,Dr. Masad Owais ,Priest Armia Makram , and Mr. Emad Talaat . The speeches concentrated on how to build the human being, considering him the axis of development and the fundamental pillar for a cohesive society capable of facing challenges.
