Vice President of Benha University Inaugurates the Second Annual Conference "The Power of Technology in Shaping the Future of Engineering" at Benha Engineering

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, Prof. Dr. Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President of Benha University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, inaugurated the activities of the Second Annual Conference of the Faculty of Engineering at Benha, titled "The Power of Technology in Shaping the Future of Engineering."
The opening was attended by Prof. Dr. Zeinab Faisal, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Benha; Prof.Dr.Gamal Ismail, former Vice President of Benha University for Community Service and Environmental Development; faculty vice deans; former deans of the faculty; the Executive Director of University Hospitals; and a number of faculty members and students.
Prof. Dr. Gehan Abdel Hadi noted that the conference's theme, "The Power of Technology in Shaping the Future of Engineering," reflects the spirit of the age and the accelerating transformations witnessed in our world today. She added that technology is no longer just an auxiliary tool but has become a driving force for change, reshaping engineering concepts and opening unprecedented horizons for creativity and innovation. She explained that artificial intelligence, digital transformation, the Internet of Things, renewable energy, and advanced manufacturing have become integral parts of the profession's future, which places a great responsibility on our academic institutions to prepare engineers capable of thinking, development, and global competition.
During the conference, the Vice President of the University emphasized the university's commitment to supporting applied scientific research and linking the outputs of scientific research to the needs of society and the labor market, so that the university becomes a platform for knowledge production and building the future. She pointed out that the conference is an opportunity to enrich scientific dialogue and enhance the exchange of expertise by presenting a number of creative ideas, discussing challenges, and envisioning the future of engineering in light of rapid technological development, hoping that the conference would yield recommendations and results that contribute to serving scientific research and sustainable development.
For her part, Prof. Dr. Zeinab Faisal stated that the conference aims to keep pace with the latest technological trends and enhance the partnership between academia, society, and industry, opening horizons for dialogue among experts, researchers, and students. She indicated that the conference features a distinguished elite of speakers and experts in multiple fields, including artificial intelligence, sustainable urban planning, smart cities, and modern communication systems, in addition to prestigious international participations, which we take pride in and represent significant scientific value for the conference.
On the sidelines of the conference, Prof. Dr. Gehan Abdel Hadi and Prof. Dr. Zeinab Faisal honored former deans of the faculty and the former faculty secretary for their efforts in advancing the college.
