Second-year students at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Benha University, have successfully designed initial prototypes as part of one of their academic courses.
The course aims to introduce students to one of the materials used for creating prototypes: iron . It covers its forms, sizes, availability in the market, as well as its processing and finishing techniques.Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University , emphasized the university's commitment to supporting student projects in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. He highlighted the importance of linking course outcomes to societal needs and developing students' skills and abilities to establish startups that support the university's financial sustainability and contribute to building the national economy.
Two types of projects were selected:
1. Projects using primary iron in its various forms.
2. Projects using previously processed iron.
This selection applies the principles of reusing products and their parts that have exited the usage cycle and turned into scrap, aligning with sustainability standards .
The executed projects resulted in products designed for daily life use .
