El-Gizawy stresses the Necessity of Adhering to the Timetable and Execution Quality
Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, conducted an extensive inspection tour of the university's new facilities in Kafr Saad. He was accompanied during the tour by Dr. Magdy El-Shahat, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Mohamed Saeed, the University's Engineering Advisor, Ms. Sherine Shawky, the University Secretary-General, Dr. Al-Moatz Bellah Gamal El-Din, the General Consultant for University Hospital Development and Consultant for the new Outpatient Clinics and Specialized Medical Centers building project, Mr. Mohamed Diab, the University Secretary for Financial Affairs, and engineers from the university's Engineering Administration.
During the tour, Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy inspected the construction work of the swimming pool building at the Faculty of Sports Science and the project's completion rate, as well as the construction work for the mosque at the Faculty of Education.
The University President also inspected the construction work of the new lecture hall building in Kafr Saad, which aims to increase the university's student capacity. The new project includes 50 lecture halls, with each hall accommodating 200 students, to provide opportunities and accommodate the largest possible number of students applying to join the university's faculties.
El-Gizawy also inspected the construction work for the Faculties of Applied Arts and Specific Education. The facility consists of three adjacent buildings, with each floor covering 8,200 square meters, comprising a ground floor and six upper floors. The building contains 12 lecture halls with a capacity of 200 students each, 9 lecture halls with a capacity of 100 students each, in addition to 20 various workshops, 40 diverse laboratories and a drawing hall, an exhibition hall, a library, and a medical clinic. The building also includes halls for practical lessons and offices for faculty members, while ensuring the application of accessibility requirements for people with disabilities in the building's design. The project cost exceeds 800 million Egyptian pounds and serves over 30,000 students.
Furthermore, the University President inspected the commencement of excavation work for the new Outpatient Clinics and Specialized Medical Centers building project. It is being constructed on an area of approximately 2,400 square meters with 6 floors. The first phase (the clinics on two floors) will include nearly 60 integrated medical clinics with supporting medical services and telemedicine clinics, a radiology center, a medical analysis laboratory, waiting areas, and public service areas for visitors and companions. The second phase will include 4 floors functioning as specialized medical treatment centers. The tour also included inspecting the new car parking garage building within the university.
El-Gizawy emphasized that the tour falls within the framework of field follow-up to review the completion rates of these projects and monitor construction developments. He directed the necessity of continuing work, adhering to the timetable and necessary preparations for the facilities according to approved specifications, while taking into account occupational safety and health conditions.
