Prof. Nasser Al-Ghizawy is keen on preparing generations capable of facing future challenges and transforming ambitions into tangible achievements.
Prof. Nasser Al-Ghizawy, President of Benha University, inaugurated the conference titled "Professional Empowerment and Career Advancement in Preparation for the Future of Work," organized by the university's Career Development Center at the university's campus in Al-Obour.
The event was attended by Prof. Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, along with several academic and administrative leaders from the university.
Prof. Nasser Al-Ghizawy stated that professional empowerment is not just a policy or program, but a comprehensive vision aimed at equipping individuals with the skills and opportunities that make them active partners in development and capable leaders of innovation and change. He emphasized the importance of our commitment to enhancing cooperation between governmental institutions, the private sector, and civil society to formulate practical policies that open new horizons for our youth and ensure a more equitable and stable career future.
Prof. Al-Ghizawy pointed out that the conference is a message of hope and motivation for our youth, indicating that the career future is not just a challenge but also a great opportunity for continuous learning, unleashing hidden potential, and transforming ambitions into tangible accomplishments towards building a stronger and more sustainable community. This reflects our commitment to preparing generations capable of confidently and effectively facing future challenges.
Prof. Gehan Abdel Hady added that Benha University places great importance on linking educational outcomes with labor market needs and enhancing our youth's readiness for the future. She noted that today's job market is witnessing rapid changes due to technological advancement and digital transformation, which requires all of us—institutions and individuals—to reconsider the skills and knowledge we possess and continuously work on their development.
The Vice President confirmed that this conference aims to affirm the university's role not only as an educational institution but also as a key partner in preparing competitive and innovative cadres by developing professional skills, promoting a culture of continuous learning, and building bridges of communication with various sectors of work. She hopes it will contribute to opening new horizons for dialogue, exchanging experiences, and providing practical insights that help our children confidently and consciously chart their career paths.
Prof. Sahar Abdel Rahman, Director of the Career Development Center, indicated that the organization of the conference stems from its pivotal role in empowering students and graduates, linking academic knowledge with labor market requirements, and building more aware and sustainable career paths that contribute to preparing competitive and change-leading cadres.
during the conference's first session titled "Empowering Youth for the Future of Work: From Skills to Opportunities," Prof. Rasha Sharaf, Secretary-General of the Education Development Fund at the Prime Minister's Office, spoke on "Future Work Trends in the World," addressing the major global transformations in the labor market and the role of education and professional development in preparing cadres capable of meeting future demands, thus enhancing employment opportunities and empowering youth.
Also speaking was Prof. Tarek Farouk Maarek, Deputy Executive Director of the Industrial Modernization Center, who delivered a speech titled "Sustainability and Resource Management in the Industrial Sector," discussing strategies to enhance optimal resource utilization, achieve industrial sustainability, and the role of innovation and modernization in improving the efficiency of the Egyptian industry and meeting future demands.
Prof. Mohamed Watani, President of the Labor University and Consultant to the Supreme Council of Technological Education, presented a talk titled "Technological Universities in Egypt: A Comprehensive Vision for Qualifying Youth for the Modern Labor Market in the Era of Digital Transformation," highlighting the strategic role of technological universities in building qualified cadres with advanced practical and technical skills capable of competing and supporting sustainable development and digital transformation.
The second discussion session featured a lecture on "Integrating Scientific Research, Entrepreneurship, and Digital Transformation for Sustainable Development," presented by Prof. Stephen Lameman, Director of International Cooperation and Agreements at Canterbury Christ Church University, who spoke on "The Impact of Cross-Border Education Programs on Increasing Employment Opportunities," addressing the role of cross-border education programs in enhancing graduates'readiness for the international labor market, building global skills, and linking academic education with employment and professional development needs in a rapidly changing world.
