Prof. Nasser Al-Ghizawy, President of Benha University, and Prof. Nader Nabil Al-Bakl, President of October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), signed a cooperation protocol between the two universities in the academic and research fields of mutual interest.
The signing took place in the presence of Prof. Nawal Al-Degwi, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), Prof. Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President of Benha University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and several deans and faculty members from October University for Modern Sciences and Arts.
Prof. Nasser Al-Ghizawy emphasized that the signing of the protocol comes within the framework of academic cooperation and supporting collaboration between public and private universities to enhance the quality of educational performance, which reflects positively on the higher education system in the Arab Republic of Egypt. It also aims to achieve fruitful cooperation between the two universities regarding the specializations and joint programs represented in the faculties of (Agriculture, Engineering in Benha, Engineering in Shubra, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Arts) at Benha University, and the faculties of (Nutrition and Food Technology, Biotechnology, Engineering, Computer Science, and Media) at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts.
Prof. Al-Ghizawy noted that the areas of joint cooperation include collaboration in scientific research to enhance researchers' efficiency and the effectiveness of scientific research through conducting joint studies, organizing conferences, and collaborating to secure funding for joint research projects from various funding bodies. Additionally, coordination between the two universities will occur for the loan and secondment of faculty members and support staff from October University for Modern Sciences and Arts to meet the educational performance requirements of both universities.
The university president also explained that the protocol includes training assistants and lecturers working in the corresponding faculties of October University for Modern Sciences and Arts and allowing them to enroll in graduate studies according to the available specializations and graduate programs at Benha University. It also involves forming joint supervisory committees on scientific theses appointed by the relevant scientific department councils that meet the conditions for scientific supervision at Benha University.
Prof. Nader Al-Bakl expressed his happiness with the collaboration with Benha University, which includes organizing various activities such as workshops, courses, exhibitions, meetings, and student competitions in the corresponding faculties of both parties to increase and stimulate student interaction, and coordinating to exchange views on matters of common interest during local and
