Prof. El-Gizawy: Benha University places great importance on cultural and historical identity.
Benha University Council, headed by Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, made an official visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum as part of efforts to enhance awareness, instill belonging, and support major national projects being implemented on the ground.
Members of the university council participating in the visit expressed their happiness with this unique experience, which allowed them to view archaeological treasures and learn about modern techniques in showcasing Egyptian heritage.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy confirmed that the visit of academic and administrative leaders to the Grand Egyptian Museum holds special significance on several levels; it reflects Benha University's commitment to supporting cultural and educational activities that enhance the status of knowledge outside the classroom. It also offers academic leaders a direct opportunity to learn about new ways to integrate cultural heritage into educational curricula and research activities, enriching the academic process.
The university president pointed out that the visit also sends a strong message to students that the university places great importance on cultural and historical identity and seeks to build a balanced generation that combines scientific specialization with cultural awareness, thereby enhancing the university's image as a leading institution in supporting culture and knowledge.
Prof. El-Gizawy added that Benha University has organized more than 15 trips for students and administrators to the museum during the first semester. The visit of university students to the Grand Egyptian Museum is a pivotal activity in supporting the educational process, as it provides them with a direct opportunity to interact with the ancient Egyptian heritage, which carries values of civilization and humanity. it enhances students' feelings of belonging and pride in their national identity and helps them connect what they learn theoretically in classrooms with the tangible reality through viewing original archaeological artifacts.
