President of Benha University Inspected Date Palm Planting at Kafr Saad Faculty of Education

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, inspected the date palm planting activities at the Faculty of Education in Kafr Saad as part of the presidential initiative (100 Million Fruit Trees) launched by His Excellency Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.
This visit was attended by:
• Prof. Taha Ashour, Vice President of Benha University for Community Service and Environmental Development,
• Prof. Magdy El-Shahat, Dean of the Faculty of Education,
• Prof. Ali Abdel Nabi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Community Service and Environmental Development,
• Mrs. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy stated that the planting of date palm trees aims to improve the university environment, address challenges and climate changes, increase green spaces, raise environmental awareness, achieve sustainable economic benefits from the trees, and enhance the overall health of citizens. Additionally, it provides a university environment that fosters creativity and innovation among students. He emphasized that Benha University strives to promote sustainability in all its activities and to make optimal use of available spaces on campus, transforming them into added value with a positive impact on the environment.
Prof. Taha Ashour added that the planting of date palms on the university campus in Kafr Saad reflects the university's community role in preserving the environment and providing a suitable atmosphere, as well as increasing the green area on campus, which leads to a reduction in the carbon footprint.
