Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Banda University, announced the victory of four individual projects from university students as part of the results of the "My Project... My Beginning" program launched by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology to support graduation projects for final-year students at Egyptian universities for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Prof. El-Gizawy pointed out that the participation of Banda University students aligns with the university's commitment to encouraging its students to present innovative graduation projects with practical applicability, linking scientific research to labor market needs and sustainable development requirements.
The following projects received a total funding of 203,860 Egyptian pounds:
• Research Evaluation of Protein Extracted from the Mealworm as a Wound Healing Accelerator - Funding: 28,000 EGP
• An Autonomous Quadruped Robot with AI for Search and Rescue with IoT Integration - Funding: 87,860 EGP
• From Superworm Gut to Green Innovation: Microbial Degradation of Plastics for a Sustainable Future - Funding: 20,000 EGP
• Smart Navigation System within Facilities Using Networks (Wassalny) - Funding: 68,000 EGP
"My Project... My Beginning" program is one of the largest support programs for graduation projects in Egypt and the region, aiming to transform innovative ideas into a real nucleus for entrepreneurial projects and startups, thereby contributing to a knowledge-based economy.
The academy announced the approval of 225 individual projects nationwide for funding, out of 1,469 projects submitted to the program, with participation from over 8,300 students from public and private universities and institutes, after passing through precise evaluation stages that included eligibility checks and specialized technical assessments.
