"Safe Community Without Addiction" : An Awareness Initiative Against Addiction for Benha University Students

Under the patronage of Prof.Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University; Prof.Dr. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof.Dr. Mohamed Al-Ashhab, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; and Prof.Dr. Nermin Adli, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Medicine organized an awareness initiative against addiction titled "Safe Community Without Addiction" for students of the Faculties of Arts and Commerce.The initiative's activities were led by Prof.Dr. Sherine El-Khouly, Head of the Forensic Medicine and Clinical Toxicology Department at the university's Faculty of Medicine, and were coordinated with Ms. Rania Moataz, Assistant University Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The initiative aimed to spread awareness about the serious health risks of addiction and encourage the adoption of a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle among students of the university's faculties.
This was achieved by increasing awareness of the dangers of addiction and its health, economic, and social impacts; discussing recovery strategies from addiction and the role of community support; highlighting anti-addiction policies and the importance of regulatory laws; and exchanging experiences and providing practical advice for eradicating addiction.
