President of Benha University Mourns the Passing of Dr. Mufid Shehab, Former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research

Prof.Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, on behalf of the University community, extends his deepest condolences and sorrow over the passing of Prof.Dr. Mufid Shehab, Professor of International Law at Cairo University and former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, who passed away today. May Allah Almighty envelop him in His vast mercy, grant him a place in His spacious paradises, and inspire his family, loved ones, and students with patience and solace.
It is worth noting that Prof.Dr. Mufid Shehab, Professor of International Law at Cairo University, is considered one of the foremost figures in international law. His career was distinguished by continuous national dedication, as he held numerous high-ranking positions that contributed to enhancing academic and professional performance, most notably: former Minister of Shura Council Affairs, former Minister of Legal Affairs and Parliamentary Councils, former President of Cairo University. He also served as Legal Advisor to the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development affiliated with the Arab League, served as a judge at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague since 1988, and was Director of the International Business Law Institute at Cairo University. He also played a significant national role in the Taba arbitration negotiations that restored this precious territory to Egypt.
